“Sunflower” is a platform where you can tell your stories, share opinions and read what your peers think.
“Sunflower” comes both as a printed magazine and this website. It all began in 1999, when the younger members of Bridge of Hope NGO with and without disabilities established the magazine “Arevatsaghik” (“Sunflower” in Armenian). They were aiming to raise awareness about their peers with disabilities and to form a non-discriminatory attitude towards each other.
Now it is your turn to become one of the readers or maybe the authors of “Sunflower”. Feel free to share your thoughts on whatever affects your life.
The website is created within the framework of the project “Speaking of Myself – Empowerment and Networking for Better Inclusion across Regions. The project is funded by Austrian International Development Agency and Open Society Foundations’ Education Support Programs (Budapest). The project is coordinated in Austria by Interkulturelles Zentrum Verein.
The coordinating organization in Armenia is “Bridge of Hope” NGO, and “Orran” NGO is the partner organization. The project is being implemented in the towns of Yerevan, Vanadzor, Dilijan, Ijevan, Noyemberyan, and Berd. Partner organizations in Georgia are “Union Berillus”, “Liberta”, and “Biliki”.
